This is the Debian/GNU Linux prepackaged version of the archie program. It
provides a command-line client to query archie servers which provide
information about the content of anonymous FTP servers. This archie client
was written by Brendan Kehoe (brendan@cygnus.com), see the AUTHORS section of
the manual page for full information.

This package was made by Edward Brocklesby <ejb@debian.org), who adopted it
from Dirk Eddelbuettel <edd@debian.org> (who took
it over from Peter Tobias <tobias@et-inf.fho-emden.de>) from the previous
Debian package
	ftp://ftp.debian.org:/debian/non-free/sources/archie-1.4.1-3.tar.gz
and the sources for archie
	ftp://ftp.bunyip.com/pub/archie/clients/c-archie-1.4.1.tar.gz.
The changes are documented in /usr/doc/archie/changelog.Debian.gz.

The man page appears to be for version 1.3, no newer one could be found.

Note that the copyright is more restrictive than usual Debian copyrights.
