\section{Introduction}

This package allows inserting badges looking like the one that can be generated from \href{https://shields.io/}{\texttt{shields.io}}.

To render the badges, \href{https://www.ctan.org/pkg/pgf}{\TikZ{}} and more precisely \href{https://www.ctan.org/pkg/tcolorbox}{\textsf{tcolorbox}} is used,
inspired by \href{https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/508555/duplicating-shields-io-badges}{this discussion} on \tex.StackExchange.

The package is available from \CTAN\footnote{\url{https://ctan.org/pkg/tikz-shields}}.
Its development version is available on GitHub\footnote{\faGithub~\url{https://github.com/thomas-saigre/tikz-shields}}.
