Title: X Synchronization Extension Protocol
Author: Tim Glauert, Dave Carver, Jim Gettys, David P. Wiggins
Abstract: The core X protocol makes no guarantees about the relative order
of execution of requests for different clients. It also makes no
guarantees about the time at which requests are executed. The
synchronization extension provides primitives that allow synchonization
between clients to take place entirely within the X server, and also
provides internal timers within the server to which client requests can be
 synchronized.
