The menus try to remain as simple as possible. The basic model is a list of items which can be selected and clicked.
You can use either the keyboard:
ENTER to validate an item
ESC to come back to the previous menu
UP to select the previous item in the list
DOWN to select the next item in the list
Or you can use the mouse:
left-click to validate an item
right-click to come back to the previous menu
In some cases, menus are not enough to achieve some operations, but there are fallbacks:
$HOME/.liquidwar6/config.xml)
F1 is the help key.
F10 will quit the game instantly, any time, without any warning.
When running Liquid War 6 from a terminal, you will see a shell prompt:
lw6>
You can type Guile (scheme) code here, this shells gives you a direct access to all the internals of the game.
It's safe to type random strings in it (errors are catched), but typing meaningfull commands might do what you want as well as crash the game. Think of it as a swiss army knife you can use when the usual user interface and the menus are not enough, not as an every day tool designed for the non-geek audience.
